Untuck What’s Stuck – Pelvic Imagery for Yoga
Saturday, April 4, 9:45am–12:15pm
Are you challenged by hip/back pain or sacroiliac issues? Do you desire clarification of pelvic anatomy for your practice? Are you a yoga teacher who struggles with finding the right cues to reach every student in your classes? Are you looking for renewed inspiration in your personal practice? Are you in search of new ways to understand, explain and explore asana?
Without rigid rules of alignment, this class will feature the functions, movements and possibilities of the pelvic bones and muscles and how to embody this knowledge in asana. Receive skills to use within any style of yoga and re-invigorate your practice/teaching, learn ways to break tension patterns in your own body and—for yoga instructors—in those of your students, understand how to experience strength without tension and achieve dynamic flexibility in the hips. Not just for yoga instructors, this workshop does offer 2.5 Yoga Alliance CEUs.
Organ Imagery for Yoga Asana
Saturday, April 4, 1pm–3:30pm
We've all heard that asana is great for massaging our organs – can you imagine practicing asana as if from the organs themselves? Even if you have zero anatomical background, in this class you will delve into experiencing the location, function and interaction of your organs. The result is much more ease, fluidity and grace to asanas that can often feel challenging. With a Franklin Method approach, we will discover how by focusing on our organs, our movement, breath and even digestion can be improved! Not just for yoga instructors, this workshop does offer 2.5 Yoga Alliance CEUs.
Workshop prices: $55 per workshop. Register for either and enjoy Robin’s 8am Saturday practice on April 4 for free. All registrants will be invited to the Friday evening Conversation with Ali.
